Mass MOCA Berkshire Wedding Tour Dinner :: North Adams, Ma :: Fire Roasted Catering Cocktail Hour and Dinner

Last week the Berkshire Wedding Tour welcomed a new group of wedding planners and bridal media to the area, touring a variety of wedding venues in the Berkshires (including WheatleighThe Kemble InnThe Mount, Edith Wharton's HomeHancock Shaker VillageThe Berkshire MuseumThe Red Lion InnChesterwoodNorman Rockwell Museum, Naumkeag, Santarella, Gedney Farm, and Cranwell Resort, Spa & Golf Club) and seeing what many of the areas professionals, from florists to photographers, have to offer.

The Berkshire Wedding Tour and the professionals who participate look to help promote the region and spread awareness about this premium wedding destination. As a part of the Berkshire Wedding Tour, I photographed the event hosted by Mass MOCA in North Adams, MA in their 19th-century renovated factory (on the National Register of Historic Places), which is now home to an ever-changing collection of exciting contemporary art. Mass MOCA provides a unique atmosphere, with dramatic and creative spaces, where you can customize the space to fit your vision for your wedding reception, ceremony, seated dinner, or other special occasion.

After touring Mass MOCA and seeing all of the possibilities for unique events, the group ended in the Sol LeWitt Building for cocktail hour followed by a beautiful dinner, all catered by Fire Roasted Catering, in the middle of the gallery and artwork. Everything was impeccably designed by Eutopia Events with the help of local vendors (Classical Tents & Party Goods, Rob Alberti Event ServicesBadger's Flowers & Co., and Megan Chapin Calligraphy) and it was an informative, artistic, delicious evening.

Springfield Marriott Rooftop Wedding :: Springfield, Massachusetts :: Styled Shoot

This shoot was published on Smitten's blog a while back (have you checkout out their gorgeous blog and magazine by the way?) but I thought I should share these photos with you here too.

My favorite piece or tradition that we incorproated into this styled wedding is the West African tradition of the tasting of four elements. During the ceremony the couple tastes lemon (to represent sour), vinegar (bitter), cayenne pepper (hot), and finally honey as the sweetness that the couple will experience if they weather the troubled times represented by the first 3 elements. It's a reminder that, once weathered, the hard times in any relationship can lead to and even enhance the beauty and love in it.

I love this modern, gold shimmering shoot and all of the talented vendors who helped in creating it. I hope that you do too!
